B.C. Lake flies and other questions.

I am heading to the Upper Arrow lakes in a couple of weeks and would like to chase some Kokanee / Dollys' in the lake and trout in the creeks. I have VERY limited experiance with a fly rod but with 2 weeks of nothing planned I should be able to spend some time with a rod. I am looking for info on flies to use and tecknique(sp?). Should I be able to use the same line for both lake and creek? What weights should I be looking at?

All the usual newbie questions...

Any help would be great.
