Wow.. I imagine our winters are too rough here for them to get that big.

Thats big just over 23 inches on the scull for bow hunting

22 9/16” is the rifle alberta record, 22 3/16” is the archery record.

The eastern United States is known for extremely big black bears, from New York down to the Carolinas. The mountain areas primarily. They have a particularly good genetic for big bone structure out there.
We have bears in Minnesota that get to 7-800 pounds mostly found where the bush meets farm fields and tho they are that heavy overall they don't seem to get that large skull bone structure.

Sask record is a shade under 23" at 22" and 14/16ths! We grow giant skulls here too.
