well I got reminded why I dont like competitions. 2.5 hours after close and Im looking down the hole. Im fishing about 3 fow today. see a submarine come up to my bait pretty much right under my feet. Mouth opens herring dissapears and Im regretting all the coffee I drank today since I started vibrating head to toe. what an awesome battle on the rod with lots of crazy runs. Finally managed to get her in the tent and unhooked and measured then back the fat girl went. Heck of a way to make up for the wind cancellation yesterday! one inch shorter than my pb so Im still hunting! oh yah 45 long 23 girth.

shes why I do figure 8s usually once you have the nose up they will swim right into the tent. single ten incher isnt enough for the girls I like ;)

That’s wild. Couldn’t imagine how big it would look through the hole.

couple friends and I had one in about the same depth at a different lake I would bet a paycheck was over 50 inches and 40 pounds. just looked at my bait and left. I was shaking all day. That one would have gone on my wall.

I hear you on the shaking. Me and 3 buddies were out for 2 days on a southern resvoir fishing in 2.5' to 5' and she came around both days, you could see her head in one hole and tail in the other. We nicknamed her pie plate because her snout was so round. All she would do is sniff the baits then move on :sign0176:

:sHa_shakeshout: Id even be happy to see another in that range. People may think its untrue but once you see one you get converted pretty quick ! Then again I never thought Id catch a fish over 6 feet long in Alberta now if only pike got that big :shark:
