My 8 yr old daughter is a fishing JUNKIE and was bugging to get out yesterday with all these storms lingering close by. She knew the fishing would be good and they just missed us so we got to get a full 2 1/2 hrs in.
Started off trolling and managed 1 walleye and 1 drum in the boat, with only an hour left of light we went to another spot to throw jigs and managed to put another drum and 6 more walleye in the boat with 1 walleye being released. Short trip on the water but a good evening getting out with my daughter.

Where is this grand river that you are catching drum? X2 on fishing the incoming storms, I'm just waiting for something ugly to break this hot weather up here. The fishing is getting a bit slow with the heat but I think it will go nuts once some nasty weather starts moving in.

Located in Southern Ontario, it runs into Lake Erie

Looks like a good trip, have you tried the Upper Grand by Fergus and Elora for some of those trophy browns. I certainly am missing that river this year.

I was thinking to myself yea Grand river that sounds familiar as I am from Hamilton Ive fished it many times and it has the most variety of fish in a river I have ever fished. Gar Pike are interesting fish to catch and there is also eels in there to lol slimy buggers. I do love it out here in Alberta and love the fishing but man sometimes I miss back home fishing spots to lol (. There is one place I used to go and almost catch Bass every cast!
