Does anyone know of a source of affordable raw dog food near Saskatoon, something similar to The Complete K9 from LaCombe, AB.

Real Raw Reasonable is south of Saskatoon if I remember right. They do runs into the cities frequently. They have a facebook page, not sure if they have a website though.

Carnivora is made in Saskatchewan. We buy bulk. It's about $4.00/lb here.

I don't want to derail your thread OP I just have a dog food question
I know family are both laid off they have 2 large dogs about 100 lbs each that typically eat Ol'Roy food, it's going to awhile before they get some money coming in.
I want to buy them some dog food to get them through these tough times how many large bags per week should I buy?

Do you have a meat grinder ? If so, try making your own... I use household meat scraps and store-bought burger (on-sale / clearance usually, under $4/lb), and grind it with my dog's preferred kibble.

All said, I pay just under $6 per pound (or less depending on how much trimmings & table scrap I use) but would rather know exactly what I'm feeding him - which is Acana Classic Red & ground beef/pork and moose. And I don't have to go anywhere special to get it...

There's never any left-overs in his bowl ! I make it so the "noodles" have the texture of moist dog treats when finished.

I placed the kibble on top for perspective.

3 to 4 cups per day each depending on how active they are. Not sure how many cups are in a bag. Most manufacturers should have that info on their website.

Edit after googling. "Ol' Roy is pretty cheap stuff with a lot of filler like cornmeal so likely 4 to 6 cups a day as most of it just goes through them. https://www.dogfoodnetwork.com/brands/ol-roy-dog-food-review/

I would try highway 12 north of the city, should be some road kill out that way.
I believe you'll need a permit to pick it up, but it's free, the permit and the meat. Lots of people eat road kill in other parts of the world, no reason our pets shouldn't eat some too.

I know a few people who feed their dogs road kill exclusively. Very happy very healthy dogs they are too.

At Trapper meeting in Edson couple years back, one trapper mentioned F & W gave him couple road killed elk for bait. He smiled and said, "I think one of them might have ended up packaged in my deep freeze",
