Hello,
Any owners of these "safes"? I realize that these are tin cans and with power tools are easy to get into.

Im looking at them to keep the kids out and protect against a smash and grab. Question is, are you able to take back panel out with out destroying interior to make some mounting holes in the back panel to secure to wall as I have in floor heating and do not want to puncture a line. I know I can use a thermo laser to trace the lines, but I also dont want to cut and pull up carpet in a finished basement when there is a good chance there are lines in the way. Any insights from current owners would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello, I appreciate the reply. I’ve watched a bunch of these reviews, however none of them address my question. If there was a specific video can you point me in that direction please? Thanks again

just line up the back with a wall stud and use a couple of lag bolt screws and bolted to it( you will have to drill out a couple of holes with a drill on the safe back as you like it up with the stud ) if you are putting in a corner you can anchor it on 2 side and the bottom .

I figured once you are through the carpet, a little hole saw would make a nice round hole through drywall to expose tin can to make mounting hole, but wanted to see if anyone had done something similar.
thanks!

I've added lights. There was already a hole in the back tin with a plastic panel over it but nothing on the inside. You could cut the carpet nicely and put a small hole in the drywall to countersink a lag bolt head. After that you could put the carpet back with a little glue or 2 sided tape and never know, especially once filled.
