Loon Lake and Meadow Lake RCMP - 11 charged under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act after pursuit in times of COVID-19

2020-20-29
3:40 p.m.

On March 27, 2020, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Loon Lake RCMP responded to the report of a suspicious person who was knocking on the door of a residence in Loon Lake, SK.

At the residence, Loon Lake RCMP officers received a description of a vehicle associated to the suspicious person, a stolen black 2000 GMC Yukon SUV, and immediately requested nearby detachments to be on the lookout for the suspect vehicle.

Meadow Lake RCMP located the suspect vehicle going north on grid Road 699. Loon Lake RCMP and Pierceland RCMP joined Meadow Lake RCMP to follow the suspect vehicle.

Police officers attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop. Instead, while fleeing, the occupants of the vehicle threw a number of items out of the window of the vehicle. Police officers picked up one of the bags that were thrown and found several firearms inside.

Police officers continued to follow the vehicle, which turned west on Highway 55. At different times, several occupants of the vehicle jumped out of the running vehicle. They were all intercepted one by one and taken into custody.

Police officers continued to follow the suspect vehicle as it turned south on a grid road, went into a ditch and stopped. The remaining occupants of the vehicle fled into a bush.

Police officers arrested 2 occupants of the vehicle at the scene. The last occupant of the vehicle was tracked into the bush by a Meadow Lake RCMP Police Service Dog and arrested.

Police officers were able to recover a number of firearms, a quantity of narcotics and an assortment of stolen property.

Charges will be dropped and nothing will happen. Actually I'm wrong, it will happen again, and again, and again.

At most, it gets plea bargained down to something trivial, and someone gets a slap on the wrist. This is why criminals are so brazen in Canada.

If the government punishes you more for working than stealing, why would we have any other results?

If they carry prohibited firearms , and assault officers with weapons, what makes you think they would obey the isolation order?

Well, at least they were released with 'strict conditions'. Again. That'll keep 'em honest by God.

Rinse and Repeat.

Anyone want to guess how long I'd be behind bars if I got pulled over with a prohibited weapon, no license, and priors and prohibitions? Anyone?

Just look at what Gerald Stanley and Edward Maurice had to go through. There are others as well. Better to be a criminal than a victim in our society, by far. Lots of perks.

There is a Curfew at the MD of Opportunity from 8 PM to 6 AM. Friday Night and Saturday Night cars and trucks were driving in Calling Lake to 2 AM.

Some Curfew.

The real funny part is that if you are caught after curfew, every person in the vehicle is subject to a $500 fine and you are escorted back to your residence by the RCMP because of the local state of emergency.

Well GEE. That would mean that the RC's would actually have to go to Calling Lake in the first place, and patrol after curfew!!!

I have called to the Athabasca Detachment for 3 days to complain about the road block on 813, and NOT ONCE did anyone ever pick up the phone.

Those law breakers sure have alot to be scared of.

You and I would get 7-10 years, lose everything we ever owned, because WE HAVE SOMETHING TO LOSE, meaning the system HAS SOMETHING TO GAIN.

If you are going to do this, dispose of all assets prior, so you have absolutely nothing. As stupid as it seems, it is the way. The system is horribly prejudiced against working men with assets.

Obviously fine upstanding citizens. Pillars of the community. Looke there, they're even educating the youth. No doubt they are long since released on their own recognizance and right back in business. Judging by previous behavior they will all be sure to show up for court. NOT! :budo:
