I was wondering where are some of the best places for catching numerous fish from shore. Anywhere between Edmonton and Calgary.

Shore fishing in Alberta pretty much sucks. There are some lakes with access to the shore, but the access to the same spot differs DRAMATICALLY during the season (water levels, algae, etc..).

By yourself a boat of some kind. You might also consider a small pontoon or inflatable. Both of them will get you out far enough to get into the 'Easy fish'.

Other than that, I would consider the Red Deer River as one of your best bets. There's a ton of places along the shore that offer great fishing potential with a good variety of fish.
