Ghost lake west of cochrane

I was thinking of trying ghost lake this weekend, has anyone driven by recently and can tell me if the ice is gone, thanks

Have not been but you can call the marina at Ghost. Usually ice is not off till mid May

Ice is only off on a portion where the Bow River enters the reservoir. Still frozen solid everywhere else.

Drove out this morning just for something to do.

While I sat in the truck 3 different boats pulled in made a U and left. Guess they were in a hurry to fish without first checking to see if the lake was ice free.

I have no plans to go out in the immediate future, just last time I drove past there all the gates were closed and people were parked on the highway.
