Question regarding Burstall Lakes

Neighbour's 6 year old wants to go fishing. Dad asked me if I knew of any good places and I thought of Burstall. Went there many years ago and it was not bad ( a couple of cuts each time). Have not been back since. Has anyone been there in the last couple of years? Any good? Anyone have any other suggestions to help get this kid started? Location is Calgary.

was terrible fishing last time I went.
real shallow. had one small bite.
Lots of Grizzly's in the area, so bring bear spray if you go

Lots of bears, probably not thawed off until June.

plenty of small (they're stocked there) cutthroats around last time I fished it though
