crazy at the lake yesterday, the only movement on the water until later afternoon was bird wakes. the spots of bubbles are all where my lure hit the water other casts. Ive only seen this down south a couple times, its insane when you toss buzzbaits and can track every cast you make for an hour! slow day, caught 3 hammers until the wind started then I had to take my bobber off, but I did much better just letting half a herring lay on the bottom as I then caught 5 more before I got sick of the wind and sunshine and peace and quiet! :bad_boys_20: that didnt last anyways as I got set upon by a pack of mulie hoodlums who wanted to chase me away . :fighting0074: please everyone stuff your cigarette butts where they belong, already been one big fire down my way! and I will be happy to return it to you if I see one accidently fall out your window :fighting0030:

Have had more then a couple days like that in your neck of the woods in the last few years. You don't seem to get nearly as much wind as we do around Lethbridge.

Fun when it's that calm. Seems more peaceful. Not many days like that springtime in Ab. Thanks for the share!
I find really early season when the water is still cold, that soaking a bait or bouncing a jig slowly is way more productive.
Too cold for fish to chase a bait it seems.
Cool pictures guys - can't wait to get out. Ice just breaking up here now - a week or so and we will be open water - then wait for opening.

3 years ago most days I went out at CVR it was dead calm just like that. Catching a few fish was a bonus. The next 2 years was like being in a rodeo. Some wild rides

no I saw that smoke too. it actually all turned into a big band of clouds after it went out, it did look like it was close to Taber. the other burn was between Hays and Vauxhall on 524
