Not so much action but it is a huntin' dawg pic. Unfortunately she has cataracts now so we aren't too sure how long she will hunt. Need to try and make the best of it this year.

are those dogo's??

i would not be offended by action shots....i would not be excited by them either if that makes any sense. i admire the dogs and the skill and strength it takes to do what they do...but it is not something i would do. however if you are doing it legally..then i have no problem with it.

pretty dogs none the less

I've run bear hounds before, and I know people who have cougar hounds that have gotten into some big ol' dust ups with cats and bears.
it goes with the territory , same as bowhunting or hiking in bear country.
Post away, I myself would love to see your dogs at work!:D

thanks cat n the hat, Yeah i might post some action shots but there's quite a few activists around, I sure don't want to be targeted by them when they don't understand what im doing is just a different way of hunting, the dogs loove it, its good for them and hey you go home with pork. and its pretty hard to hunt for boar especially in alberta with out dogs or anything. Being nocturnal and all they can be pretty hard to find, And yeah clash i've spent countless time talking with conservation officers, alberta agriculture, alberta wild boar control driving to different counties to talk to commission to make sure im not doing anything that could get me or my dogs in any trouble. The man in charge of wild boar control for alberta said he was going to list me for hog removal. He said he very seldom ever gets a call anymore, but he used to get quite a few. but when he does i get a call. So far its been pretty much empty handed trips, but its nice to get the dogs out and let them do their thing. Can't wait to go down to texas where they're a real problem lol.

Those are some impressive looking dogs. Do you shoot the hogs or capture them? I've always wanted to go out on one of those hunts. I've heard stories down South about running the dogs at night, must be fun!

Nupe nuthin better. D-dog looks good. You should buy him a decent O/U to go in his pics though.

Heres my one year old pup showing her stuff. Moesgaards 6R Kennels "Else". She's at the breeder/trainers right now and she's really making an impression on a guy who's used to having excellent dogs around him.

Here she is backing her Dad on a point (Else, my pup in the forground). This is now an 8x10 on my "wall of fame".

Heres part of a two minute point on a Gopher during a shed hunt this spring.
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee5/dc240nt_2007/Elsie/P4250007Largee-mailview.jpg

The first bird planted for her was when she was 5 months old. She found it, pointed it, the bird was shot over her, she then retreived it.....
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee5/dc240nt_2007/Elsie/CopyofDSC_0064.jpg

right back to hand! I'm pretty proud of her. The breeder/trainer has nothing but good things to say about her. I'm really looking forward to October bird hunting!
