hihi!

Wondering if anyone has been out recently to the lakes, and if the ice if off yet anywhere around the shore?

I do have ice fishing gear but will be taking out 2 newbies and they'd have a better experience casting. We can do ice fishing next winter.

Looking to head out to zee mountains tomorrow, fish up some trout, hopefully. Spray Lakes is most likely still frozen over. Looking for any suggestions too!

many thanks

Nice! I've fished Spray more times than I can count, only ever caught 2 little lakers (that went back in). Only shored fished though.

We're heading out tomorrow at 5am. Think there's any shore access?

Not sure of north end i came in from the south and fished the south end of lake. Only a small section open from the creek going in but should be more open now ice is getting pretty weak. Where i hike in it is usually the first open water every year. Only about a mile hike in. Good luck caught all mine on smelt from shore.

i love fishing

This is the year I want to fish spray after ice out. Please report back on conditions may be out on Friday if worth it.

How's the road going up from Canmore? Is it all pot holed, pitted, rutted and washboard?
