Fishing spots near calgary

Hi all,

my family is looking for a great lake to fish(any kinds) so Can anyone tell me

a great lake for fishing about an hour away from calgary or within calgary

Sibbald is around 45 min (depending on where you are in the city). It is stocked. I don't think the fishing has been great there lately, but it might still make for a fun trip.

Try Allen Bill Pond, just past Bragg Creek. Lots of small trout and lots of families with kids. It is usually fairly easy to catch at least a couple out there, and it is very kid friendly.

Crawling Valley Reservoir is just over an hour east and great for walleye and pike (if you have a boat). Macgregor is good too and you can fish off the dam.
