Got out Sunday with the wife and had a nice float from Bowness to the Zoo. Ended up catching 2 small bows on a #1 Mepps spinner with a red metallic blade. By small I'm talking "Chain lakes" small. Stopped at a few banks to wade and cast to no avail. Lots of traffic and toilet paper looking stuff on my line almost every cast. Just one more reason to get more serious about the dry fly setup. All in all was worth the trip but plan on trying below the weir next time as there seems to be less traffic.
