Stitches: 3

Will we do it again? You betcha :D
We camped at Bow River Campground, in spot 12. Spot 11 is better, but it was full of garbage when we arrived. I phoned the management, and they got out to clean 11 up in about 1/2 an hour.

There is a path across from the site, that leads right to the river:

That was where our only "catch" was made: my 15-year-old son!

It wasn't a hook that struck him. It was a weight that came flying after the line snapped when hooked on something. I'm sure it'll leave a scar. He's gonna have to come up with a better story than "My step-dad hit me in the head with a fishing weight." The girls will need to hear something a little more impressive.
It was soggy. Here's out littlest camper . . . who turned out to be a great little trooper: especially since he cut two teeth while we were there.

I don't think we'll try fishing on the river with spinning gear again. It was challenging, to say the least. We lost more gear than I'm comfortable with.
Here's a weird pic that I snapped. It really freaked us out at first:

It took us a little while to figure out what caused that to happen. As it turns out, it is evidence of my "dirty little secret" . . . it's cigarette smoke.
