Well I won the pike but the wife won the walleye. 85" of pike for me and 57" of walleye for the wife. Lots of 30+" pike and 24+" walleye in between as well. And so close to that 30" walleye and 40" pike in the same day again....it will happen yet lol.
In Alberta as well.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200630/a8e7735cd8e9bdfe704da9e67d7cf08f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200630/b50443acd24c42bd6397d1193d2897a7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200630/e037058aafd2454fef1998d2bca5a887.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200630/a6731eab42d177fa9398afe473b96815.jpg

Very nice Fish! They sure are long and skinny.

For whatever reason I think the spawn was real late this year. All the bigger walleye we caught were in less than 8 feet of water. We did pick up a lot of average size fish in 10-16ft but the big girls were all still real shallow. The 29" my wife caught was literally in 2.5 feet of water along a shoreline flat the same area I picked up one of those big pike and quite a ways from anything deeper.

Yup late spawn this year. Finding the same the males are stacked in the traditional spots but the spawned out hens are still recharging in the flats. The Lakers are even off their game a bit. Could usually set my clock on them for the July long but they are way shallower, at least the ones that are biting. It's been a dark cloudy wet cool year in general I guess. Thanks for sharing yer nice pictures. Good work.

Thanks guys. What made the day even cooler was that these shallow walleye were absolutely crushing our big swimbaits. Several were caught on big 8-10" baits and hitting them harder then most of the pike.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200701/a2ecb461a827eedee042419bf8a05b96.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200701/70abfad306f7566fe4fab1ea2dfa0293.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200701/9654a07030ae4f1668973f7b8d0e26af.jpg

Awesome day!

I was out a few days ago and we were hampering the walleye in 5-7 feet of water, they’re still in the spring frenzy!

Great fish - looks like you had good weather .......... so I know what part of the province this wasn't .... lolLol this was over a week ago....but yeah I think we got 3 days of decent weather and we were able to fish 2 of those days.
Guess I should have mentioned we also had our 3 month old along for her first overnight fishing trip. Fishing with a newborn has its challenges as well but she loves being on the water.

Congrats Mike! You guys are having some pretty fantastic fishing this summer. It's been a good spring for sure. Need to do some repairs on the inflatable now though. The transom has separated from the tube a bit on one side where the wood is bonded to the hard rubber piece and a couple tiny leaks in the keel but I'm definitely glad I went with an inflatable.
