Wow!
That almost looks like a Bass but I know it's not. What is it? Forgive me but I live in Vancouver (moving to red Deer August), and I've seen many funky looking coastal species, but I'm not sure what that is.:confused:

It's a mutant whitefish caught near a nuke plant...:D

Well I am going to take a wild stab at this one. I am guessing you are back in Manitobia and that is a Drum?
If not its the biggest deformed whitefish I have ever seen. lol

It's actually a freshwater drum and a pretty good one at that. I caught it in Lake Nipising. -1 with the windchill here today..darned cold but the wind finaly calmed enough to fish this evening. Caught some nice smallmouth bass as well while looking for the big pike this lake is famous for. Hopefully it stops raining and blowing tomorrow!

awesome Drum Sheep, in manitoba, they are slaying them down at the Locks. as ugly as they are, they are sure worth the fight.

What part of Ni****ing are you fishing? Huge lake. I spent many days fishing out of Sturgeon Falls. Good walleye, bass and pike. Great ice fishing as well.
As a youngster I caught lots of Drum [sheephead] further south in Ontario.
Great fight not so good table fare.

^Yeah not so great on the table...Used to catch them in Ontario when visiting the sister.Amazing that some members of the drum family can be so good to eat,but not really this one...

We were at the south end of the lake at Sunset Cove.
