We’re thinking about fishing English bay cold lake cause of the nasty winds this week. The bay when we went and looked at it seemed calm. Any info where to fish in that area thanks

just out where the river flows in.....fart around with depth etc....around river mouth might get eyes, gators and out in deeper water lakers…..but rumors are going around that 20-30 feet of water jigging produced both gators and lakers.

gusty winds today 33km ish so you should be ok but get up on the lake at 5 am and things are calm...fish for a few hours before she gets grumpy.....

If you're after lakers just follow the ridges until they start to drop off rapidly to deeper water keep an eye on your sonar and you should find the fish. Last week there were good numbers up shallow still chasing bait that had blown in. I'll be out tomorrow.

Tight lines!

Thanks for the info guys that fish the lake. Two rods this morning boated 40 lakers. Unreal fishing big healthy fish. 60-80 foot water running down riggers at 30-40 using siver spoons with some green on them.

Right on! I have always said it’s hard to find any other fish as consistent as Lakers are, very aggressive feeders that are usually not fussy. Lakers have become the new perch. Anyone Remember the good old days of perch fishing in this province lol!

Friend had a boat. Caught one keeper at 78cm most were 68-73 just a few smaller ones. I will post picks when I get better service. We were going to jig them like the guy who posted the u tube video Matt weaver I think but couldent keep the boat in the same spot. When the bite was really on the rod would start bouncing before the down riggers were in the spot lol

We caught a 79 cm last week there. My GF seasoned the heck out of it, baked it in hot coals. It was the best tasting trout I`d ever had. And I'm not a trout eating fan. Love catching them though!
