Edmonton area fishing recommendations?

We live in Sh Park and are looking to go fishing this Sunday in a boat we are buying tomorrow.
Have never fished in this area before. Any recommendations on where to go?

Give Lac Ste. Anne or Wabamun lake a try about one hour west of Edmonton check the fishing regs and have a good trip.

Pigeon is always good for walleye. Lots of action but tags are needed to keep. I wouldn’t eat any fish out of pigeon but they are fun to catch
