Alright, I'm a bit puzzled. Everything I read says troll slower in the hotter weather as rainbows won't go after anything fast. I didn't catch anything all day until I cranked up my 50lb thrust motor to about 75 (100 is the fastest setting).....and then they started biting. I don't get it as it seems way too fast?

I was fishing at Dickson trout pond with a #2 panther martin green spinner. No split shots or float.

As an aside, seems like some trout there are getting those red ulcers. I forget the name. Yuck.

I agree with Moose, I troll my 10 horse on idle speed with a 14 ft alunimum and they love it.

I like 1.5 -2.0 for pike and Walleye but keep it 2.5 -3.0 for the Trout
