My cousin in Toronto was fishing with a friend a couple of days ago, and they found this thing dead in the river. I've never seen anything like it, and neither has anyone I know; just wondering if anyone on here knows what it could be. I believe they caught it in a river either flowing into or out of lake Ontario. Based on the inside of its mouth, I wouldn't want to be swimming anywhere near one of these things hahah.
Heres the pics:

I'm guessing lamprey eel. See marks on large fish in the great lakes.

Kind of looks like an alien parasite - if my wife ever caught one of those it'd likely be her last time fishing.

Hmm, something cool to know, that thing is definatly a Sea Lamprey, and not alien at all, in fact, older than the dinosaurs. These things have been around since the devonian era, over 400 million years ago.

Your joking, right?
I love burbot. They are ugly and extremely tasty. I will have to draw the line at a lamprey though....sense or not....I just have to.
