Cow Lake Update ???

Did anyone went to cow lake this season? wuts the fishing update there? do we need boat or shore fishing will be fine, wut kind of bait is good? heared about tons of pearch there, are they all over the place or there are some good spot? Is there any spot beside the lake for bbq or family day out /picnic? thanks in advance for your info..

Yes there are lots of perch as well as lots of boats water skiing etc, there is a day use site where everyone puts in at with a very small dock. Cow is better fished from a boat as from shore it is very marshy. No picnic tables set up as this area was only intended for putting boats in the water. Cow lake does have a camp ground and Im sure for a fee they would allow you to use their picnic site.
There also are Pike in Cow lake and they are getting to be a good size. Fish with a lure or top water frog. Ive alway found the north east side of the lake the best for Pike. For perch use a slip bobber and a worm, you;ll get tons although not very big thats why the jacks are there to cull the herd so to speak. Twin Lakes west of rocky is prob the best place, fish power bait or worm on the bottom on a Lindy rig from the dock or shore, Rainbows and perch. Worms also. They do have picnic sites, nice area but at times crowded.:wave:
