What's up guys? My brother and I are headed out to Wab tomorrow in hopes of landing some giant j's. Any suggestions on where to drop in the boat, interesting presentations and maybe some Wabamun stories would be appreciated. We went in the warm weather canal a couple of Octobers ago and had some big jacks and a 6lb white on a smelt. Let me know.

They eat anything and everything. My new favorite is a plastic perch, the tail is ripped off fast but it still works awsome. On my way there is 20 mins I'll post an update later.

There is a thread "first Jack for half the family" in here got some pics from earlier this week when my brother and his family were here from BC. The fish were caught on Mepps syclops (bright colors), 5 of diamonds, plastics. The biggest in 2 days was 15lbs 6oz.

crossed the lake to the other plant 10-12 ft of water. The average fish seems bigger over there than by the launch. The action is not quite as staedy thought......you have to wait maybe 10 mins between fish.lol.

No, I was there Monday and Wednesday and then again today. Today's report is....33 fish between 3 of us in 4-4.5 hrs. Only ones worth mentioning were 10.6, 8.7 and 8.4 lbs. Good day with some s*** chucked at my father and brother cause I caught the most....lol. Go early and the sun is your enemy....whenever it was out the fish stopped biting it went away the fish were on again. The highlight was a white fish caught on a gold mepps syclops. Good luck tomorrow.

Well back from Wabamun. Caught 20 pike in about 3 hours. Nothing over about 3-4 pounds though. Also we caught 1 perch. We could have had hundreds but didn't really go after them. I didn't even know there were perch in there. Oh well, I guess we will catch the monster jack come fall.

Went out today Aug 16 ,very slow day . Meet up with JohnAB also .
The pike on the south of the lake where it was slow had hardly any teeth .
But around the boat launch we were just hammering them ,these pike had teeth grown in either one side or the other.Hopfully things will be back to normal next week end .Only caught 21 between two us.
Water temp on south side was 65 F
north side was 75 F

Well at least everyone got some fish. The temps were 67-68 F south and 81 F north when were were there Saturday. They do seem to stop when the sun is out so I usually try to go stupid early and just head home a few hrs earlier.
