Alright boys, ive shot out two targets in 2-3 years, one was a sod cloth bag, with an antelope painted on it, and the other i cant remember the name, but it was a block filled with 1/2 inch pieces of foam/ethafoam. They are finished, and so am i. I have been pushing over 2000 arrows a summer at them, but i am on a budget,{baby almost here}, and need a couple awesome targets. Whos shooting what, and how are they standing up, how many arrows have they seen, and how much life is left in them. Thanks fellas.

keep a strain on er.

Buy a Morrells Six-Shooter and dont look back. I shot out a Block target last year in a matter of a few months. The Morrells is a six sided target and it really holds up well from what I can tell. Takes broadheads good and solid too. I find that its a very durable target....not too expensive either.....

Here is a cheap target that works great, fill a burlap bag or similar with shrink wrap , get a store or carrier company to save their used stuff, pack it in as tight as you can,sew shut, paint a few dots on her and you got a cheap yet very functional target, arrows pull out with ease and no residue on the shafts.I have one made from 2 yrds of burlap, shrink wrap then made a hanger out of rebar,2 yrs and still going:D

I bought a Morrell 6 Shooter last year, and have been quite happy with it.

I use grain bag stuffed with plastic co-op bags, works only with target points

I use the morrell's yellow jacket, it works great for broadheads, but for field tips, it take a little bit of a good tug to get them out.

I helped my dad build a target 7 years ago it sits outside all year with only a little tarp on when not in use. If you have the space for it, I would suggest it for long term. Basically we cut up particle board into 3ftX1ft pieces. Stacked the pieces 5 ft high and then used sucker rod to compress the boards. Same system in Sherwood Park Archery Lanes just smaller. But he lives on the farm so he has the space for it. He put it on wheels so he can move it alittle more easily. He originally had it in town and shot down his driveway into the garage. It is definitely not portable. And he tells me not that expensive either.

Just a different option.

Oh yeah and no broad heads, you just loose them and destroy the boards.

I use foam 3D targets, very expensive in terms of targets, but a whole lotta fun.
