How far do you want to drive? If you head north Montreal and Tobin for a chance at a monster. Lots of decent fishing around big river also

Diefenbaker is only 110 km to the Dam. Little farther to the trout farm but I heard the Rainbows were biting.

Definitely head to Diefenbaker. Easy one hour drive south. Great variety of species and some really good sized fish.

Montreal Lake access has been restricted by the more equals. Couple other lakes have been closed altogether. While this is probably illegal on their part, it hasn’t and won’t be addressed by the authorities. I would go somewhere that doesn’t require access through a reserve.

That’s not surprising up there. Do you know if they restricted at the Wetaskiwin access also? What about timber bay?
