This was our first trip to Eagle Lake at the end of December and was surprised to see so many trucks on the lake with it only being 12" to 14" We decided to stay close to the boat launch until it was time to pack up and leave.

Do most of you feel 12" to 14" is enough for F-150 to be driving around the lake?

14 should be good for a half ton but this year I've been seeing inconsistent ice on a lot of lakes so 14 at the boat launch could mean only 8 or 10 somewhere else.

People put vehicles through the ice every year in Alberta
