Float tube around Edmonton

Hi all,
I am looking to take my float tube out to one of the trout ponds around Edmonton later this week. I have been reading through a bunch of posts and webpages and aq few mention that weeds can be a problem for float tubes in some of these lakes come mid August (e.g. Muir, Hasse).

Any suggestions on the best lake(s) to try?

You won't have any problem at Star and although I haven't been out to Chickakoo yet this year, there's usually lots of weedless water there. Hasse's not bad if you launch from the beach and fish the northern part of the lake. If you need directions check out...
