I was hoping someone could identify this growth.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210118/af11c60946eeef01891c3d0c9172d0d9.jpg
Came from a 13” female perch inside the body cavity just in front of the egg sacs. Bigger than a golf ball. I cut it to see if anything was inside but it’s solid all the way through and fairly tough.

Never seen that before. Doesn't really look like a tumor, but then again, I'm not a doctor. Maybe you should try consulting a biologist...interesting.
I'm not sure but am very curious to hear a biologist's answer.
I'm sure there will be many entertaining guesses here ...... so I will start the ball rolling .... I'm guess a tumor of some sort. Inside the body cavity, that's the strange part of that for me.

Do you have any photo's before you cut it out?
Do you have any photo's before you cut it up?
Was it well contained or did any part stick to other structures?

Looks like a fatty tumour. We seen this in a whitefish also this year. Cut thru it and it was the same thru out, with no blood vessels
