Small spoons and tungsten jigs are popular. Tip with a maggot or two, or a meal worm.

Any particular colors work better than others?

Ice fishing deep water, first I tie on a small silver spoon or castmaster with no hook to my line. Then 4 to 6 inches below the spoon or castmaster I tie on a really tiny treble hook with 3 maggots. The spoon or castmaster are like little flashers and perch don't hesitate too much to hit the small maggot bait below. Not long jigs for motion but rather a thrumbing trembling motion which is almost like you have a parkinsons tremble in your hand. I will use a 1 inch minnow instead of maggots in lakes with big perch. Perch will swim off with the bait and stop before I set the hook with minnows.

Start at 25 ft and get steady shallower to 15
Drill some holes shall against the weed beds and see if you can pull up some fresh water shrimp to use as bail
Deweys are 2nd best for me
At some lakes, the best bite is after 4:00 pm so don’t be afraid to stay till at least 6:00
