anybody fished there ?
what types of fish are in there ?
I have read the regulations and are very permissive for this province but that doesn't mean too much.
Interested in going with a buddy for a week of camping and fishing there.
Any islands to camp on ?
any input will be greatly appreciated.

Havent fished there fer awhile, but be careful. Look out fer floatin logs/debris. Sand bars are quite frequent, depending on the water level too. Good luck.

lots of places to camp, but like Doc says watch for trees, floaters, submerged rocks.

I'm not sure about the main reservoir, but I know friends have fished the canal and had pretty good luck. When fishing from a boat on either the main reservoir or the canal you have to be very careful of deadheads, sandbars, and rocks.

There are trout in there, mostly only where the rivers flow into the resevoir. A friend of mine got a bull Bull where the Braz runs in. I have heard that the Elk river is good too. Good luck, and heed the advice of the others, I know a few dudes who lost their lives on that resevoir.

I have been to the Elk, and I don't know why I go back...poor fishing when ever I have been there.
