Hey there,

Ive been trying to find someone to replace one of my guides on a rod i like. Even someone amateur that has done it a decent amount before would do. Any suggestions welcome.

Yes, I have already tried reel doctor.

Thank you

Here is what I would do.
Get a spool of fly tying thread and a bit of epoxy and have at it . You could get fancy and use an old bbq rotisserie to turn the rod while you wrap the thread.

A couple of drops of crazy glue will hold the line guide in place while you wrap the thread.
Apply the epoxy and let it turn on the rotisserie till it dries so you don’t get any runs.

Practice tying a bit of wire to a dowel first . That way you can make your mistakes where it won’t matter.

Ditto, Reel Doctor. If he can't fix he knows people who do. Great guy and good service.

Isn’t Don Parsons a rod builder? Maybe he could help...
