Just in case any of you fellow addicts are debating hitting the ice this weekend, I fished 10 hours Wednesday caught 1 wee hammer and saw 1 other all day. Had more action than that this morning before I even had time to turn on the camera. Just as I was writing this I caught a 10 pounder, released it and before my new bait was halfway down i got another or it even looked the same 10 pounder. They aren't just nibbling on the ends these fish are gobbling the whole thing down. :fighting0074:

40 mile yesterday the pike were completely un interested in biting anything.
Lots seen on cameras by 3 of us but they just wouldnt hit.
Perch were as always there.

I'm getting some crazy pics and video today. I wouldnt wiggle my fingers under the ice today that's for sure even my bait caster that doesn't have a clicker spun so fast I could hear it from outside the tent!:sHa_shakeshout:

For sure, it's a long drive to Frank Lake but worth it on days like this :bad_boys_20:

how's the wind down at "Frank" today, Wayne? Last Saturday/Sunday was UNREAL....We couldn't get a tent up in that so we barely fished. Hoping this Sunday is going to be a bit better. At least it'll be warmer!

Ice is 24 inches so if you have a short shaft you may want to slip on your extension just remember it will wobble more than normal

I had an awesome day, 21 pike landed and lots lost. most between 10 and 13 pounds today. One video from today, I had released a pike about 11 pounds, it was recovering on the bottom under me and my new bait landed by its tail. there were a few more fish around and I finally managed to get one to take my bait and hit the first pike too. Lots more videos to check out just from today when I get time.
