Drove by the IGA parking lot to see a truck parked, with what appeared to be the entire side pushed out. I had to go back and check it out, some amazing engineering here.

Very cool indeed. That's a $70K+/- upgrade as I have checked into one for myself...All things considered, there are just too many 'electronics' within the system which can go wrong, IMO...Imagine getting halfway up/down and something goes sideways and it stops working. I believe they have a manual crank to it yet I don't think one can do it on your own though..

They have come a long ways over the last 40 years with this stuff

Pretty cool set up but pretty pricey.

My brother is in a wheel chair, he has an gm Extended cab with suicide rear door. He gets in from the passenger side whips his wheel chair around and drags it inside the truck, has a rope on the rear door and shuts it, then the closes the passenger door and scoots over to the drivers side. takes him 2 minutes and he is on his way.

If he wants a new truck now he is s.o.l as all new trucks don't come with suicide doors. unless you drive a ford and he is not a ford fan.

Another real cool invention for handicapped people;

http://actiontrackchair.com/

I took one for a spin, it's and incredible machine and also very expensive.

With the pickup and action tracker a person could do many things previously not possible for handicapped people.

I've often thought about what I would do if I won the lottery. One thing I'd do is buy a few of these machines and give them to people who could use them.

I think that would do more good then buying myself a yacht or private jet.

I had one of these for a year, Keg. Very cool machine yet the motors in it would heat up to quick, making it go into limp mode. I worked with the dealer yet ended up losing patience and interest in it.

Your kindness isn't lost on me with your sentiments, Keg. Wonderful
