How's it going, everybody?!

Last few weeks I spent on building this crazy machine - the Revolution 2X72 Inches Belt Grinder designed by Brian House with 1.5HP 3Phase Baldor Industrial Motor and VFD(Variable Frequency Drive) which also makes 1PH to 3PH
I had to learn a lot during this process, this was my first welding project. Lots of hours and elbow grease were put in this machine! But I am one happy owner now! This is a huge upgrade for my tiny 1X30 Grinder!

Enjoy the video!

Thank You for watching!

Nice man!!

I have a KMG with the 10" wheel and the flat platen as well. I just bought the chassis and built it with a 3hp 3 phase and VFD. No video's unfortunately but cool units! I hear you about the upgrade. I went from a 1/2hp 1x42 to the KMG 2x72.

I haven't been able to do any work for a while now since moving and not having a shop now but hopefully soon! I hate having all my equipment in storage... Ugggh!

That's one nice-looking machine you got there! I hope you'll find a way to get it to work soon! It shouldn't be sitting in storage!

Excellent job on the grinder Angler! I enjoy your videos.

Wished I would have learnt welding way back then.

I still use my 1X42.
One of these days, I will upgrade.

Tirebob: I too am looking at the KMG brand. The Canadian supplier used to be located about 50 kms. from my house (near Sundre), but recently moved to BC.

Shoulda pulled the trigger then and would have saved a pile on shipping...hindsight is 20/20...

Yep that is who I bought the chassis through myself. Then a buddy of mine who build pumps for O&G got the motor and VFD for me. I wish I had a finished pic!

Thanks, Phil!
Oh, man! What a huge difference after using my 1x30!!!
This thing is a beast! Chews through the metal like butter!
I'm so happy with this build, even though it took a lot of time and Elbow Grease to make it happen!

It's never too late! Get the plans and giver!

Cheers!

These guys have resources beyond mine, but he is self made from the shop. Pretty interesting.

You can also buy all the pieces ready cut, but that wouldn't be any fun. I'm going to throw my welding table out, here. No sense wasting the old barbecue.
