thanks in advanceTalked with buddy who just got back from cree....the trail in from key lake is pretty good. There's a somewhat plowed truck trail as well as a snowmobile trail to follow....about 3 hours to broken arrow from the staging area. The lake itself is rough....hard pack drifted snow...very slow travel across the lake. Fishing was just ok for them but they definitely aren't super hard core trout fisherman. They were averaging about 15-20 fish per day biggest was just over 30lbs a few in the 25lb range and lots of 10-15lb fish. They did not venture far from the lodge as the lake was just that rough so I bet if your willing to put the time in you will probably have at least the same if not better results.
Good luck....I'm hoping to up there in June as I got screwed out of my trip up there this winter lol.

Cree lake is on my personal bucket list! Is it a fly in lake during the warmer months or is there a 4x4 trail?

Good for you! Post some pics when you return. I hear that there are decent walleye in the lake too.

well we made it !
Stayed at Cree Lake Lodge ( great group of guys and a great lodge )
Sunday We sledded in 75km from key lake staging area to the lodge. Group of 10

didn't fish sunday

Monday we put in a good shift. Fishing was okay lots in the 5 lb range few from 8-12 lbs and one 22 lb in the group. weather was windy

Tuesday

Fishing was off the charts group of 10 we caught 11 over 25 lbs around 5 in the 15-20 lots in the 10-15 lb and a few eaters.

wednesday
we fished the same spot but fishing was tougher , wind was howling and snowed around 5 cm ( couldn't find holes we drilled out side so we had to tent fish )

but still at least 5 over 20 lbs and 2 over 30 and some in the 10-15lb range

thursday
sledded out and drove 750 km home Long Day to say the least

Can't wait to go back Id just pack a bit lighter and find better bait !

Nice fish, any walleye??.

About the sled trip did you all pull toboggans with your goods and if so what type of sleighs. Did have to pack fuel.

we all pulled sleds (all different types)The home made wood ones didn't do aswell. The trails are pretty twisty and rough, lucky they had a welder at the lodge and we brought wood screws

we all packed 2-3 jerry cans of fuel. 40 litres each would have been plenty

we didn't target anything other the Jumbo lakers. Sounds like the group before us spent a day and slayed wallye
