Fired up the Kamado Joe, made some chicken wings in a napoleon rotisserie basket, that works on the rotisserie. I got the basket frome Rona in St Albert.

There are lots of good recipes on the Kamado Joe channel on you-tube, etc.

They turned out awesome! I had bought some wing dust, in honey BBQ, and buffalo hot by kosmos brand. I put a little franks hot sauce for good measure on the buffalo one, mouth is still a little hot!

Did them at 400*F for about an hour, and then opened the dome, and vents to get more heat, to render the fat off, and crisp them up.

Going to grill some rib eye's ( NO SYNTHETIC BEEF HERE, MR Gates! ) on the cast iron grill, will be a first for trying them on the grill, heard they are good like this ??!!

I should use mine more often, have never tried it winter, I'm sure it will hold its heat?

I use my Kamado all winter. It doesn’t know what season it is if you don’t tell it. Uses a little more charcoal though.

Yep a kamado works excellent in the winter. Did beef ribs today. Not even gonna try and get pics posted.

Ya burn a little more and it may take a little longer to cook but it's worth it:)

Thanks Guys!

That's what I like about this forum, plenty of experience!
I stocked up on some Kamado Joe Charcoal last fall, have lots to burn now!

Any of you guys have any experience with the I command for the kamado Joe, for long cooks? I want to try some briskets, etc, and from reading up on them, takes quite a few hours.
