Does anybody have a bubba blade electric filleting knife. How do you like it?
I'm curious about this as well - maybe I'm wrong but this seems like it would tear up the fillets if you are not careful. I find a super razor sharp blade to be my go-to for fillets.
Also for the few seconds you save - you loose that on clean up time.
Also wonder about sharpening? how does that work?
I am a curious passenger on this thread.

Yes i have one./ Wouldn't be without it. Comes with (4) sets of blades and 2 Lithium batteries. I filleted 12 white fish and still had full charge./ Luckily for me I have big hands as the handle is fairly large may be a little tough for a person with small hands. Also the blades come in different sizes . So this knife works great for the smaller fish as well. Hope this helps

Just received my new bubba electric today. Now just have to catch something to use it on. LOL.

Wouldn’t it just cut through the bones and make it tough to get boneless fillets??

It does cut through the rib cage, and in doing do makes it faster to get boneless fillets. Watch the fellow in this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWkwp6yqt40) video clean the first three fish. That's how I clean walleye. Remove the fillets like he does by going through the ribs with an electric, and then remove the skin and rib cage with a filleting knife. You can do it all with a good filleting knife as well if you enjoy sharpening your knives every time you use them.

Exactly also to the answer of sharpening them These blades will last a very long time before you have to replace them. They are available if required
