First time out with the garmin panoptix, rigged up a DIY pole-mount for perspective, forward and down mode, drifted around searching out structure/baitfish, jig and a minnow, heavy action rod was put to the test on the hookset, cracked my new personal best walleye at 30”

Nothing holds a candle to live imaging. I've had LiveScope for a couple of years now and have been saying that since I got it. Great fish. 10+ for sure. :happy0180:

P.S. You must have been supremely confident fishing for Alberta walleye with a heavy action rod. :bad_boys_20:

That's a beauty. Medium light with fast tip for me, heavy action jig fishing is quite the task eh

didn't think too much about the rod I guess, it was on sale at BPS for $50, their house brand bionic blade, 6'6, heavy power, fast action, with a 3000 stradic seemed like a good Southern AB res boat rod, I didn't mind the action, it still bent in half on this girl, no sturgeon rod that's for sure

Just missed a tornado yesterday, bite was hot so we came back today, then got chased off by black clouds and white caps, hung around the parking lot and relaunched at 4pm after it all blew over, feedbags were still going and this 29er hit like a freight train right at the end of the day!

It was a kijiji find, decks are aftermarket but were already on the boat when I purchased, I just re did the surface, added the tread plate on the back, some abs rod holders, there is some pics in the what did you do to your boat thread
