Hi all,

I was up at Slave Lake last week and decided to do a quick video of how I clean and debone walleye. I thought I would share in case it helped anyone.

Fishing and eating Walleye for many years but never heard about Walleye wings.
Thanks for posting. I will try them this weekend ( if I get one )

So you are breaking the law by not having a piece of skin on your fillets when you transport them from the fish cleaning area to your camp!
I have personally had a conversation with a fish cop about this and was told you have to leave a piece of skin on when transporting, regardless of how far you are going, no exceptions. What would happen if you were checked between the cleaning area and your camp?

Glad you saw something new. They are a pretty good chunk of meat.

Thanks to all those that took the time to watch!

Enjoyed the video. Always filleted walleyes as I saw on Thundermist's video but will have to try the way you did yours next time
