Lowrance Live Sight

I bough an HDS-7 last year from TFH, and I was unaware at the time that the unit did not come with the transducer for live sight. I don't think the guy that sold me the unit was aware either. Does anyone have any input on whether this upgrade ($1000 transducer) is worth it??

You didn't specify the series. If it is the HDS 7 Live you can add the transducer, but be aware that if it is the HDS 7 Caron you'll also need the PSI-1 module for an extra $400.

The LiveSight is a great transducer. I use mine for jigging lakers in 100’ of water with it and it’s a great tool.

The new ActiveTarget is a step up for sure and worth every penny for the upgrade.

Both have their purpose. We’re in a tournament right now running ActiveTarget and watching fish come to our lures and hit them.
