Flowing or Stillwater?

Just wondering what you guys prefer? I'v fished lakes for most of my life but have spent the last few years focased on getting better at fishing rivers. My preferance now would be rivers, I just love hiking or drifting around a bend for the first time and finding a fresh change of scenery and likely looking holes.

At this stage of the game . . . stillwater.

I'm a pretty lousy angler, and flowing water seems to cost me too much in the way of lost gear.

I find that kicking around a lake on my belly boat is very relaxing and a fun way to fish. I have to agree that fishing a new river can be an adventure and is enjoyable too, so I kind of like both! :love:

Fishing creeks and small rivers are my passion, I could go for miles on them, but alas, my knees can't take it any more:cry:. Now I fish pothole lakes in a toon or my Jon boat.

I grew up on PEI and all I ever knew was brook fishing and I love the challenge of it. Since I moved here all I have done is stillwater. Any day with a hook in the water is a good day.

I don't find either any more challenging than the other but stillwater does tend to be more 'restful'. Stillwater has another thing going for it too .. it's harder for anyone to find, bug, or annoy me when I'm on a boat surrounded by H20.
