Do you need WIN to get senior fishing licence?

My wife will join seniors in July can she fish without WIN # ?
It is now lifetime digital so no biggy just curious.
I will call F&W to verify.

Only need a WIN for tags for fish or hunting. Just bought my last one this year and if I need tags some day I will still need a win but otherwise fish for free.

I do not think I read it wrong. but I believe the new electronic Virtual Alberta WIN card is a one time purchase once and done so to speak good for the rest of your life.

You can still purchase a Physical win Card for $3.00 according to site Not sure if it still has an expiry date.
