I’m thinking of making a trip to Pigeon lake. Does anybody know what the water clarity is like? Is it getting really dirty yet? Thanks for your help. Have a great weekend.

the walleye bite was on Monday .
seen 3 dead whitefish over 5 lbs each floating in the lake. looks like the heat did them in. summer kill has started .
hope we do not loose to may of those huge fish.

We were there on Monday too, and yes, the walleye bite certainly was on. Spinner rigs to find them, and then jigs and minnows to really put a hurt on them.

It seems to be earlier every year...not a good sign with another hot forecast upon us.

I’m sure there will be plenty of whites to catch this winter. It happens every summer with big whites floating due to low o2 levels and warm weather and algae bloom I would assume a 5 pound white could also be a pretty old fish and the older they are the more sensitive they are to the 3 conditions I mentioned. Only the strong survive !!! Was at buck last weekend and didn’t see any whites floating.

Any experimenters trying to catch the elusive tarpon using trolling techniques, its time to figure out these bad boys in the summer months?

usually try for a few hours each time out , then get bored and start hammering the walleye.
lots of whites in shallow water now but all are dead.

Was there all week, many whitefish floating, a couple of walleye also. Lots of southerly winds pushing all the crap to zeiner. It’s not too bad by the park or out in open waters.

I can see that there would be whitefish floating, but walleye? Never seen that before.
