If you head out of town to Penhold or Innisfail bridges and walk a bit there are pretty good spots.

I prefer to go below the dam on either side of the river and float it to Penhold but I have a boat to do that.

When I lived in town I used to walk the river from downtown where I lived to 3 Mile and back.

Joffre bridge just east of town 15 min is pretty good, but if you don't mind a little bit of a drive below Dixon Dam is great fishing. You can drive right down to either side of the river and work it up and down. I have always had pretty good luck on the north side towards the actual power generators. The water is usually clear and varies in depth so a guy can wade out or stay on shore and get the deeper stuff. Pulled some nice pike, browns and goldeye out from there over the years.

Usually on the fly. Sorry for taking so long, been a bit busy around these parts.
