Was out today saw some nice whites floating at Wabamun. Walleye were crazy could not keep off tonight all around 40 to 43 .

same at pigeon ,all over the shore line .

What lures were you using?

Was using a bright green jig head with minnow jigging in 20 ft water.Hit same hole 2 nights in a row marked on GPS.Was just out and up on right from in town launch.

Cool, might make it out on that lake with the kayak one day soon to try my luck

Sad news, indeed.

The lake isn't closed, though. Was out there yesterday. During the rescue operation, they had asked that people give them room to work.

Was slow in the afternoon where we were, picked up a bit more in the evening. No dead whitefish to be seen, looks like the seagulls, coyotes and cottage owners cleaned it up well.

Was out on the west end on Thursday, caught a bunch of small 'eyes and a few pike. It was a fun day with plenty of action. Spent most of the day in 20-22 fow and moved to about 14' in the evening.


Only dead fish I saw was a small(<1lb) burbot washed up on shore.

Went out in my kayak Sunday evening to wab for the first time, launched in moonlight bay. Only caught one little pike around the bridge. Probably try somewhere else next time, maybe the other launch and go west.
