Anybody been to Gull lately how the bite going?Any pointers where should give it a try?

Gull has been slow this year for me. More Pike than anything else, last year was a lot of Walleye. That being said this was yesterday morning.

Thanks. Yea, just in the canal off the dock. The funny thing is this one hooked much further away than usual and I had to fight him a little harder, he even needed to run a bit. Probably the biggest one I've hooked in the area in the last 6 years.

He was over 10 lbs, just my guess, and probably close to 3ft. Went back in and Free Willy'd away from us. I wasn't ready for him, just went out to the dock to have a coffee and chat with friends. Rod combo worked but looks maxed in the pictures, still, made my day.

Are those shoes even legal for catching pike??:sHa_sarcasticlol:

I bet it felt like a real fight with that rod. Nice job!!

The shoes were the reason I caught the fish. Hopefully the fish cops cut me some slack

Great fish, shoes are okay too lol...


Thinking of trying out Gull this weekend, AHS has a water advisory at Ebeling Beach. How bad are those advisories really?

Was out on aug 24 with my grandson. Finally got a few walleye and a couple of pike.
