I thought I would post up some sonar screenshots from the last few trips I’ve made.

2D sonar on Cold Lake, fishing for lake trout.

School of walleye on Mega 360. Bottom screenshot was 2 min before the top, so you can see the school changed locations as I was bottom bouncing. I steered the electric accordingly and picked up a couple fish as a result.

Side Imaging showing a few fish 20-30 feet to the right. The white specks to the left of the black shadows are actually the fish. Distance between the white speck and the black spot is the height the fish is off the bottom. This is helpful to determine if the fish are relating to bottom or higher in the water column.
Hope these help folks new to sonar interpret what they are seeing.
