Shundra Viewpoint Rec Area

This place is just west of Rocky and before Nordegg. Never been even close to this place. We are doing a group family camp trip on the Sept long weekend (Not my choice). Just wondering if there is some kind of fishing within walking distance of the campground? Or do I just leave the rod at home? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Well hopefully I can convince one of the group to go for a drive. I have an older trails map. Could maybe do Baptiste or Saskatchewan.
Those voices inside my head keep telling me I gotta go fishing and if I don't they won't stop

Not sure about walking distance but Harlech Pond and Sunda creek are both nearby. Fish Lake and Goldeye Lake also have stocked rainbows.

The nearest fishable water is a 1000 feet lower and at least 10 miles away.
