Possible World Record White Sturgeon

Having fished with Kevin at Sturgeon Slayers a number of times I am truly happy to see this. There isn't a guy on the the water that works harder or does more for these fish then he does.

A truly lifetime fish and its going to be a long while, if ever, until we see one like this again.

Not taking anything away from what an experience and accomplishment that truly is for those two but I am not seeing a 12Ft 4in fish. These fish are measured from tip of nose to fork of tail. Pectoral girth versus maximum girth as well.

I believe that is the same fish in the record I found.

And from that page it was not the biggest. Just the biggest photographed.

I forgot what search words I used and can't find the link now.

They are an amazing species to fish for, was blessed to land a similar one a few years back that was the largest out of the Fraser that season. Similar measurements to this one.

Headed back in three weeks to search for another.

Not to diminish the size of that fish, but there have been, as noted above in a few links, a few larger sturgeon taken out of that same river .......... so this will not be a world record.

The article's author failed to do a quick search before captioning the "click bait" title on his article.

Still an awesome fish, and congratulations to the guys and the guide who took them out. Must have been an awesome once in a lifetime experience .....

I caught an 84lb pike once. Verified and claimed are two very different things. Again great for anyone who gets the surreal experience of fishing for these dinosaurs and when you get to see a specimen of such size its even more special

I know for a fact my dad and his friend have tagged larger sturgeon back in the early days of wire disk tags. Both had fish in their books that were 14+ft. All were reported but not for fishing records. I also remember hearing of larger yet and I think the mission museum(don’t know if it still exists) had pics of larger

No where near a world record. There have been many larger caught on rod and reel over the years.
Don't know if this was netted or rod and reel but shows how big these things can get, this one from Washington state.
